Please post your experiences with this unit. Did you have any leaks? When did you perform your first rebuild (how many miles used)? Quality? A "friend's friend" might sell me his, but I need to decide within a day, or he'll sell it to someone else. I think we'll agree on a price of about $100. Oh. . .it's nearly brand new.
Or should I just suck it up, spend $260 and buy the 2025i?

Mine performed well for about 9-12 months until it began leaking. The quality is not near the billet Cartech units or the Vortech SFMU but when it's not leaking it gets the job done nicely. I have changed from stock injectors to 310's many times and it has allowed me to tune the fuel curve for both situations.

The leaking is due to bad sealing, correct? This can be taken care of with a rebuild kit though, I'm assuming (~$35).
What about rumors that this unit sticks at certain fuel pressures. I've heard the same about the JR unit. . .but honestly, mine has never done that.

I've had mine on for 1.5 years. No leaks ever.
At 6psi with stock injectors, it performed flawlessly.
At 10psi with 320cc injectors, I had to modify the restrictor and the check valve to make it do what I wanted.
Also, since my idle FP is set to 25psi, I now notice that the cartech is a little sticky after boosting and may hold idle FP's between 30 and 35psi for a minute or so. It's never been sticky anywhere but at idle. I never noticed this at 6psi and 58psi idle FP.
I rebuilt it once to try to fix the stickiness at low FP's and make it react faster. My rebuild did nothing. Rebuilding, to me just meant taking it apart, cleaning everything, sanding the piston and bore slightly and re-lubing it. No new parts.
$100 is a great price. Go for it.
